The registration for MO24 is open!

The registration form for Malmö Open 2024 is finally open and we are already seeing a lot of interest from different parts of the world.

We see a particularly high interest from the Goalball Community and from the Wheelchair Basketball Community where the spots disappear quickly. Exciting!

Aim of Malmö Open
Malmö Open aims to be the perfect debut tournament for rookies and youths as well as meeting the requirements as a nice and challenging event for experienced athletes. Most sports offers a selection of events for both non-licensed participation and classes restricted only for classified and licensed players. Therefore Malmö Open has become important for young athletes. The ambition for Malmö Open is to be a recruitment event welcoming clubs from all over the world to register participants.

Malmö Open – A multicultural event
This year we will send more than 1000 invites to clubs all over the world. We are constantly looking for new participants from other countries to expand the games.  23 different nations took part in MO:23.

New sports on the Malmö Open program

This year we are very happy to present three new sports on the Malmö Open program!

Bench Press
The sport represents the ultimate test of upper body strength with athletes competing in the bench press discipline. Competitors must lower the bar to their chest, hold it motionless on the chest and then press it upwards to arms-length with locked elbows. Athletes are given three attempts and the winner is the athlete who lifts the highest number of kilograms. 

Frame Football
In Frame Football two teams play against each other with three or four players per team on the pitch. The players use walking frames to move around the pitch. There is a sideboard around the pitch which make it easier to keep the ball inside the pitch and keep the match going.

Indoor Golf
Indoor Golf has become a popular activity during the winter season for golf players in North Europe. We are very happy to invite you to Malmö Open for an oppurtunaty to compete under the best conditions with other passionate para-golfers.
